Tink and Chip partner to bring seamless, secure account top-ups to Chip users through open banking.
The Pay by Bank integration reduces friction, lowers costs, and improves the overall user experience.
Chip CMO Alex Latham said: "We’re looking forward to working with the Tink team to promote these payment options, with a few more exciting updates coming soon."
With Tink’s Pay by Bank solution, Chip users can move money directly from their bank accounts into their savings, instantly and intuitively.
“It’s brilliant to partner with Tink, whose open banking solutions provide a fast and secure option for our users adding money to their savings on the Chip app,” said Alex Latham, Co-Founder of Chip.
“We’re looking forward to working with the Tink team to promote these payment options, with a few more exciting updates coming soon.”
For savings and investment apps, the top-up experience is a critical moment in the user journey. It’s where intent becomes action, and any slow, error-prone journeys can become costly. Users are more likely to drop off before completing their transaction, and that's where modern methods like Pay by Bank can help.
By integrating Tink’s open banking-powered payments, Chip can now offer a top-up experience that’s instant, intuitive, and built for the way users want to manage their money.
Tink’s Pay by Bank lets Chip users initiate payments directly from their bank accounts without ever having to leave the app. Although it may seem like a small detail, it can be massive for users to have a more seamless experience. They no longer need to manually add details, nor do they need to wait for funds to clear. Things just happen, quickly.
And while it's undoubtedly great news for customers, who now enjoy a faster, more secure way to save, it’s also great news for Chip. They can provide their users with more options when funding their account, benefiting from lower fraud risk and happier customers.
"Chip have been on a tremendous growth journey in recent years, and we’re delighted to become part of their success story by bringing more payment options to their user base."
